No stranger to a great cornhole tournament, Cunard Tavern is pleased to announce the inaugural East Boston Cornhole Classic (EBCC), kicking off on Sunday, October 6 at noon. The popular neighborhood restaurant will be taking over Webster Street (adjacent to Cunard Tavern) for a fun afternoon of outdoor sportsmanship to raise money for East Boston youth sports.
Proceeds raised will go to support Boston Youth Wrestling and Soccer Without Borders, both dedicated to providing under-served children and teens with tools and camaraderie to overcome obstacles and imparting skills for overall success. EBCC is supported by generous neighborhood sponsors who include: East Boston Savings Bank, Senator Joe Boncore, Ed Deveau of Century 21 Mario Real Estate, the Law Office of Richard C. Lynds, Adrian Madaro, Grain Wood Shop and of course, Cunard Tavern.
Registration for a team of two people is $100, which comes with tournament participation, two EBCC t-shirts and two drink tickets. Space is limited to 20 teams and expected to fill up fast.
