Improv Level 4 - The Harold

Level 4: The Harold

The final course of the core curriculum focuses explicitly on The Harold. Students will unpack each component of the form and the goals, options, and effective methods therein. They will analyze how scenic energy and pace affects the show as a whole and how expanding and combining comedic concepts makes the show cohesive, compelling, and entertaining. This course has an additional class performance between Weeks 7 & 8.

Prerequisite:

Completion of Union Comedy Levels 1-3 unless otherwise approved. Please email Pat at [email protected] for approval information.

Instructor Bio:

Pat Kearnan has been performing and teaching improv since 2012. You can catch him performing at Union Comedy every week with the team Neighbors. He is one of the Founders of Union Comedy.
