Guests are invited to celebrate three days of Irish heritage, culture, cuisine, talent and enterprise at the Seaport World Trade Center at this new festival designed to promote all that is unique and exceptional about Ireland and Irish people. Officially launched by An Taoiseach, Enda Kenny, iFest will focus on contemporary Irish culture including music and the arts, Irish food and drink, sporting heritage and hospitality. iFest offers entertainment for all ages and will attract adults, children, couples, groups, locals and tourists.
Notables from Ireland and the US will be on hand to participate and perform at the event, including: Paddy Maloney of the Chieftains, Riverdance performers, literary luminary Donal Ryan, award-winning Irish chef Kevin Dundon and Boston's James Beard Award-winning chef Barbara Lynch. Guests can enjoy live cooking demos, tastings, live music and dance performances, meet-and-greets with Irish authors, Gaelic Athletic Association players and memorabilia, genealogy seminars, comedy shows, featured exhibitors, and an Irish fashion design exhibit.
