ICA Play Date: We Belong

Kids rule the ICA the last Saturday of every month, when the museum fills up with fun, creative, and even zany activities for kids and adults to do together.

Say goodbye to our exhibition When Home Won’t Let You Stay: Migration through Contemporary Art during its final weekend and join Boston-based Wee the People, a social justice project for kids, as they explore migration, home, and belonging through storytelling and making.

*When accompanied by kids 12 and under during Play Dates, up to 2 adults per family admitted free. Youth 17 and under are always admitted free to the ICA.

In the Galleries
ICA galleries are open 10 AM–5 PM. Our family-friendly Visitor Assistants are always eager to talk about the artworks and answer your questions.

Books and Looks, 10:30–11:30 AM
Poss Family Mediatheque, 4th floor
Picture book readings led by gallery staff that make connections to artworks. Best for ages 3–7 and adults together.

Casual Family Tours, 2–4 PM
Galleries, 4th Floor
Find our roaming tour guide in the galleries and choose artworks to talk about together.

Family Pop-up Talks, 2:30, 3 + 3:30 PM
4th floor
Staff-led conversations with kids and adults that focus on a close investigation of one artwork.

Note: Timed tickets are required to enter Yayoi Kusama: LOVE IS CALLING. Tickets are free, and a limited number will be available to Play Date families in person the day of, first come, first served. We recommend arriving early.
