HONK! 2021. YES, it is indeed happening, this October on the Saturday of Indigenous Peoples Day weekend. YES, definitely mark your calendars. In pen. The plans are already in motion, with HONK! organizers collaborating with local community groups, to allow for this year’s HONK! to convene right on their own neighborhood’s doorsteps.
Live-stream will also be available for long-distance HONK! fans on HONK!’s youtube channel. The full list of participating neighborhoods, bands, and organizations, plus the live stream information, is now available at honkfest.org.
HONK! 2021. To be held outdoors on HONK! Saturday, rain or shine. In-person, on-site, in many small gathering places within the local area’s decentralized neighborhoods. This year, HONK!’s intention is to reach communities that have not been able to participate in the past, for example Nubian Square in Roxbury, while also retaining HONK!’s historic connection to Davis Square in Somerville.
