Celebrate The Trustees’ public gardens, a living documentary of Massachusetts horticulture and design traditions. Many of these gardens are part of the landscapes of Trustees historic sites, the former homes of historical figures, literati, titans of industry, political leaders, artists and more and span a 300-year timeline from the Colonial Era to the Modern Movement.

Come experience all the beauty, history, and unique stories contained within each home, as well as the exquisitely designed gardens and stunning natural landscapes. Special tours, gardening and family-friendly activities and refreshments will be offered.

Home Sweet Home takes place Saturday, May 19 from 10AM-4PM at ten Trustees historic sites for FREE. Visit www.thetrustees.org/homesweethome for more details.

Here's what's happening at Steven's-Coolidge Place:

Self-guided tours of this Colonial Revival summer estate's eclectic first floor throughout the day.

You’ll also enjoy garden tours offered this afternoon at 10:30am, 12:30pm and 2:30pm to help you discover what spring has sprung.

Activities for young and old can be enjoyed throughout the day. Little ones can tinker at the craft table making kites and watching them fly as they run through the fields.

Carolyn's Farm Kitchen of Haverhill, MA will be in attendance, serving up their handmade products designed to celebrate the foods and flavors of the growing seasons in New England! You find delicious Jams, Granola, and Farm Baking Mixes made in small batches using premium all-natural ingredients. There will also be tea to sample and scones to purchase. www.facebook.com/carolynsfarmkitchen

Don't forget to stop by the greenhouse to purchase a plant from The Stevens-Coolidge Place to take home and plant in your own garden!

At 4PM this historic gentleman’s estate will close to tours, but that doesn’t mean the day has to end. Running until 9PM, our 21+ guests will enjoy this year’s collaboration with Notch Brewing of Salem, MA and their traveling authentic German beirgarten for a refreshing Session beer after a day of exploring. Pack a picnic and enjoy an evening in the gardens - sunset at 8PM!

Be sure to check out our other collaborations with Notch Brewing this week!
