1. Event description:
We'll be hiking the 5.7 mile Sunset Ridge and Long Trail loop up the summit of Mt. Mansfield, one of the 4,000 footers of New England. We'll start at Eagle Cut Trail, which runs along CCC road for about a mile and is below the tree-line. The trail then meets up with the Sunset Ridge Trail for 1.5 miles, including a short excursion to the Cantilever Rock Overlook. The trail also meeting with the Long Trail, reaches above the tree-line and onto an exposed ridge, offering incredible views of the Adirondacks and Lake Champlain in the distance all the way to the summit of Mt. Mansfield, which is also referred to as "The Chin". We then descend briefly with the Long Trail and down through the Laura Cowles Trail and back towards the Eagle Cut Trail.

We will do pickups off of 93 at Park & Rides. Please email your request after booking.


3. Please bring the following:
Hiking boots
Non-cotton clothing
Bug spray
Sun glasses
2 -3 liters of water
Food


4. Can I just meet you there and not use carpool? No, because we find that those who aren't willing to carpool are also not ready to work as a team.
