Mount Chocorua offers a beautiful 360 degree view from the top, but you have to earn it! This hike is about 6 hours at a moderate pace and the top has fairly flat, slope-like rocks that give you great views of the area. We’ll be starting at the Piper Trailhead and make our way from there to the top of Chocorua. Hiking boots are highly recommended as this is a fairly long hike of 6.4 miles. If you are in good shape then no previous hiking experience is necessary. Please do not participate in this hike if you’ve had heart issues.


You must bring the following:
1. 2 - 3 liters of water plus a Gatorade or something equivalent
2. Bug repellant
3. Hiking boots or athletic shoes with excellent traction
4. Non-cotton clothing for socks, shirt, and pants.
5. Food. Actual food.
6. Sunglasses and hat to protect your eyes
7. Sunscreen
