Rogers Ledge is a prominent knob on a northwest to southeast ridge located along the Pilot Range and on the 52 WAV list. It offers incredible views and it's northern locales in the White Mountains make it a less busy peak for hikers especially during foliage season. The ledge offers views of the Carter-Moriah range, Mahoosuc Mountains, Presidential's and Mount Cabot. The plan is to hike the Kilkenny Ridge Trail from South Pond all the way to the top with a stop to Devil's Hopyard along the way. This is a great hike if you want to see the foliage without all of the crowds you'd see further south.


Difficulty: 3/10. This hike gradually ascends from the trailhead all the way to the ledges, gradually becoming steeper as you get closer to the summit. The trail is well marked and has good footing. Trail becomes narrower as you get closer to the summit, but isn't too bad.


Total distance of hike: 7.1 miles


Elevation gain: 1,900 ft.

Only sign up for this hike if you're interested. Cancelling last minute or not showing up on the day of the hike without a valid reason is unacceptable (both carpoolers and non-carpoolers). By doing that, you're preventing someone else who wanted to join the trip to be able to go and can also lead to the cancellation of the entire trip. If you flake frequently without a valid reason (eg. unforeseen conflict), it will impact your ability to join future trips organized by me.
