Let's hike Mount Avalon and Mount Willard this weekend. These two mountains are on the 52 With a View list, mountains under 4000 feet with amazing views of Crawford Notch from the top of each.


This hike is 6.2 miles with 2400ft of elevation gain. The map can be found here: https://www.alltrails.com/explore/map/mount-avalon-and-mount-willard-c0c7c76


Previous experience hiking is required, preferably something with similar elevation gain, as well as cardiovascular fitness.


What to bring:

Required:

Hiking boots (no sneakers)

Non-cotton layers - Cotton kills!

Headlamp - just in case.

2-3 liters of water

Electrolytes

Snacks and lunch. You will be burning a lot of energy!

Map of the trail (either a printout or a digital copy of the map)

Optional:

Hat

Trekking poles
