Join us for the first farm 2015 volunteer day this Saturday! We will be planting the first of the season's tomatoes and basils and getting our soil ready for summer!
Here are the details:
Saturday, May 23, 9am-2pm
Volunteers should meet at the front entrance of the Boston Design Center. If it is past 9am and you don't see anyone, enter the building, sign in at the front desk and take the first set of elevators to the 8th floor. The stairs to the roof is across the hall.
1 Design Center Place, Boston (This is the Seaport district of South Boston)
The front entrance is the west end of the building and has a courtyard in front of it. Please note that parking is available but we recommend taking public transportation as it is cruise ship season and there will be heavy auto and pedestrian traffic in the area making driving difficult. The Silver Line has a stop right at the entrance. There is bike parking by the front entrance as well. If you plan to drive, please let us know so we can notify security.
Please be sure to bring a water bottle or whatever you would like to drink. We'll have a water cooler and there is access to water via a water fountain in the building. We also reccomend packing lunch if you plan to stay through the day, there are not many options within walking distance on the weeknds in the area for food.
