Join Boston Harbor Now and AfroDesiaCity for the fourth and final installment of our virtual arts series Harboring @ Home, featuring a guided Q&A and painting instruction with artist and educator, Zahirah Nur Truth of ZNT Arts!
Feeling connected to the shoreline and purple sunset skies as the cool crisp breeze touch your face as you walk along with us, let’s go with the flow. Join us for an evening of art-making as we reimagine our own Boston Harbor skyline with a vibrant lit sky and city lights in the distance. Explore the flow of being connected to Boston Harbor and the ocean, known to be a healing space. We will explore watercolor techniques, wet washes, flowing color, and vibrant wonder that bring in all the beauty and calm.

Zahirah Nur Truth is an open and authentic artist that uses art as a form of healing and self-care in her personal practices. She shares her love of art through many modalities, whether it’s an illustration, painting, metalsmithing, and more. There is no end to where her creativity will go. When she’s not creating, she works in the Boston community serving young people as a teaching artist. Her most expansive work is supporting arts institutions and other organizations in the development of community engagement opportunities, workshops, and curriculum development that centers on uplifting and affirming BIPOC through the arts. If she's not creating she is sometimes found in the kitchen creating vegan triple chocolate brownies and other vegan treats.
AfroDesiaCity curates and coordinates live music events, social gatherings, and celebrations infused with an intelligent, innovative, and irreverent sense of soul. As we lead the renaissance of soulful entertainment in Boston, we’re setting the stage for the city to step into the spotlight as one of the nation’s premier urban music metropolises.
