Build and decorate with ceramic colors clay “folklore-styled” dolls in the theme of your favorite Halloween characters. Creations will be fired and ready for hanging as a Hallow’s Eve decoration!
Instruction, tools, materials, seating and work surfaces for building and decorating up to 2 Halloween-themed folklore dolls will be provided during this 1.5-hour outdoor family-style workshop.
A disinfecting station will be available, but you are also encouraged to bring your own hand disinfectant.
Courtyard public restrooms are available for use, and are disinfected by staff regularly. Social distancing and proper mask-wearing must be followed at all times at deCordova.
The workshop will be held in a gated area adjacent to the Ceramics Sculpture Studio (located behind the Store/Cafe building).
Please note: Although clay won’t permanently stain garments, participants are advised to wear suitable work garments while working with clay and glazes. Work will be fired and ready for pick up on October 30th and 31st, or by appointment after these dates. You will be notified by email.
In the event of cancellation due to inclement weather, participants will be notified via email 48 hours in advance of cancellation or postponement of the event.
This workshop is designed for adults and families. Hot cocoa and cider will be available to accompany this festive workshop!
Registration includes instruction, supplies (tools, clay, glazes), refreshments and firing, as well as park admission. Admission starts at $40.00
