Hall of Fame Camping Trip

Calling all fans of sports history and the great outdoors! The Hall of Fame Camping Trip is here!

The goal of the trip is to visit two of the landmark athletics museums in the U.S.-- the National Basketball and Baseball HOFs-- while also taking advantage of the illustrious surrounding landscapes of Massachusetts and Upstate New York while we're at it. This is roughly how we will achieve that goal:

DAY ONE: Saturday June 17th

• Leave from Alewife Station at 8:30am. Drive 1.5 hours to Springfield.
• Visit the Basketball Hall of Fame.
  
• Lunch in Springfield, then head to nearby Berkshires (about 1 hour).
• Short afternoon hike (trail TBD) and then camp out at the Mohawk Park Campground.
  

DAY TWO: Sunday June 18th

• Various outdoor activities in the Berkshires, including river tubing with The Great Outdoors.
  
• Drive 2.5 hours to Cooperstown. Have dinner there and camp out at the Deer Run Campground.
  

DAY THREE: Monday June 19th (Juneteenth!)

• Visit the Baseball Hall of Fame.
  
• Drive 1.5 hours to Albany. Have dinner and see the New York State Capitol and other landmarks.
• Drive 2.5 hours back to Boston.

Participants have the option of doing the whole trip or just a part of it (coming to Berkshires, on Sunday for instance). Please let me know which option you are selecting when you sign up. Also, please bring all necessary camping gear and keep the extra charges for the museums, river tubing etc. into account.
