Join internationally renowned chant artist and devotional singer Gurunam Singh for an uplifting evening experiencing the healing power of the yoga of sound in the Kundalini Yoga tradition! Be totally inspired, uplifted and have some fun!

Gurunam Singh:
When Gurunam Singh graduated high school he was given a guitar and began composing simple songs. At 22 he found Yogi Bhajan and Sikh Dharma. He sang and played along with others and over time began leading chants in the early morning hours, before the rising of the sun. He spent lots of time in the solitude of his own home, and in the Sikh temple late at night, chanting to God and writing devotional songs. Gurunam’s influences range from gospel, folk and country to classical Indian raag and traditional Sikh hymns to many of the current artists who sing devotional Hindu chants. But his music is very simple. ANYONE CAN CHANT ALONG.

Gurusangat Singh:
Gurusangat Singh has been singing, studying, writing and performing music for over 30 years. He grew up in New Orleans, surrounded by that city’s rich musical heritage. There he studied with renowned jazz patriarch Ellis Marsallis, who helped shape his approach to jazz and to music in general.
When Gurusangat discovered the teachings of Kundalini Yoga, he was able to merge his two great loves: music and meditation. Since then he has recorded and produced the five CDs comprising the popular “Miracle Mantra Series”, featuring himself and Dr. Gurucharan Singh Khalsa. He is known for creating lush soundscapes that draw you effortlessly into a meditative state.

Designed specifically for meditation, and tested in the classroom, his greatest hits include The Miracle Mantra of Guru Ram Das, Isht Sodhana Manta Kriya, Hummee Hum Brahm Hum, and Wahe Guru for Sodarshan Chakra Kriya.

Since joining the GuruGanesha Band, Gurusangat has put down his six-string guitar, and stepped fully into the role of bassman. He delves deep into the hypnotic rhythmic interplay that holds a band together. He stands at the bottom, and lifts everyone up.
