Boston Conservatory Orchestra will be joined by soloists from the Grammy Award–winning Silkroad Ensemble for a dynamic concert at Symphony Hall on Friday, November 16 at 8:00 p.m. The performance is part of Boston Conservatory at Berklee’s 2018–2019 Center Stage curated performance collection.
Conducted by Bruce Hangen, the program will feature poetry-inspired orchestral works by Tan Dun, Dinuk Wijeratne, and Gabriela Lena Frank, among others. Silkroad soloists Sandeep Das (tabla), Maeve Gilchrist, (Celtic harp), and Kaoru Watanabe (Japanese shinobue flutes/taiko drums) will join the orchestra, consisting of Boston Conservatory at Berklee students, for the performance of contemporary classical works.
