Join Rachel Thompson in MIT Comparative Media Studies/Writing to discover more about Before Projection: Video Sculpture 1974-1995. Thompson’s talk will focus on collection practices of the digital media arts. Specifically alluding to the challenges of preservation of digital media arts and the hidden histories of these collections. Light refreshments will be served after the program.

Graduate Student Gallery Talks at the List Center present focused explorations of our current exhibitions and are led by an MIT graduate student. These interdisciplinary talks examine art through the lens of students’ research, backgrounds, and interests.
