About the Speaker -
Jack Reid is a master’s student in MIT’s Technology & Policy Program and the AeroAstro Department. His research is focused on the design and management of complex, sociotechnical systems, with a particular interest in emergent behavior that occurs when individual actors, particles, or components in simple ways that results in a coherent macro-scale phenomena. When not doing research work, he is involved with advocating for science-based policy through organizations like the Science Policy Initiative. His wife is an architecture student who has taught him the importance of connecting the arts with engineering.

About the Series -
Graduate Student Gallery Talks at the List present focused explorations of our current exhibitions and are led by an MIT graduate student. These interdisciplinary talks examine art through the lens of students’ research, backgrounds, and interests. Talks are free and open to the public.
