Hezekiah Walker Headlines Berklee's Africana Studies celebrates our 2nd Annual Gospel Extravaganza!
Featuring Berklee's Reverence Gospel Choir and Overjoyed, both directed by Berklee Gospel Music Hall of Famer, Professor Dennis Montgomery III with special guest performance by Bishop Hezekiah Walker, the legendary Gospel singer, composer, and choir leader. Bishop Walker pastor of Love Fellowship Tabernacle in Brooklyn, New York and Africana Studies' visiting artist-in-residence. He is an esteemed composer whose songs have become part of the cannon of today’s gospel music. His breakthrough album Live in Toronto hit the top of the Gospel charts.
This concert will celebrate the second cohort of Berklee Gospel Hall of Fame inductees: Bishop Walker, Berklee alumna and Reverence Gospel Choir founder Ms. Lisa Harrigan '83, Ms. Evelyn Lee and Rev. Dr. Milton Biggham. The concert will be hosted by Berklee Gospel Music Hall of Famer, Dr. Teresa Hairston Jackson.
