The Gathr Preview Series gives audiences in select cities the chance to see the best new independent cinema in theaters before anyone else -- even before the NYC and LA releases.


Think of it as your year-round film festival, movie club, and mid-week date night all rolled into one. Members can preview a new movie every week, participate in filmmaker Q&As, attend events, and more. A limited number of full-priced tickets for non-members are held for each screening on a first come, first served basis.


"The Pretty One" stars Zoe Kazan ("Ruby Sparks") and Jake Johnson ("The New Girl") in director Jenée LaMarque's first feature-length film.


Audrey (Kazan) has all of the qualities that her identical twin sister Laurel (also Kazan, obviously) wishes she possessed: confidence, style, independence. Alternately, Laurel, sweet but painfully awkward, feels stuck in her life, still living at home, coddling their father and obsessed with the boy next door, for whom she used to babysit. When the sisters reunite for their birthday, tragedy strikes and a fateful mix-up leaves Laurel faced with an opportunity to reinvent herself, and her life, as her beloved sibling.


Built in 1916, the historic Regent Theatre remains true to its roots as a vibrant vaudeville house. The Regent is dedicated to bringing the highest quality events to the area, and while they are a community theater attracting audiences from Arlington and the surrounding towns of suburban Boston, they have a number of exclusive events throughout the year with nationally and internationally known performers-many of whom are bona fide legends.
