As a nod to Isabella Gardner's love of rare books, the museum is partnering with Grub Street, an independent center for creative writing, for an evening of words, poetry, and mingling with artists and writers.


THROUGHOUT THE EVENING | 5:30 pm to 9 pm


Studio Artivity: Altered Statements
Create a vintage book-based artwork with text and mixed media. Space is limited.


Flash Poems
With a Grub Street poet and a typewriter, create a short poem inspired by the Museum.


SHORT AND SWEET: 15-20 MINUTE TALKS


Gardner 101 | 6:30 pm / 7:30 pm
An introduction to Isabella Gardner, her collection, and the Museum today. Space is limited.


"A Dangerous and Passionate Pursuit" | 6:30 pm / 7:30 pm
Chat with Dr. Anne-Marie Eze, Associate Curator, about Gardner as a book collector. Space is limited.


MUSIC


Boston Typewriter Orchestra | 7 pm-7:30 pm / 8 pm-8:30 pm
Rhythmic typewriter manipulation combined with elements of performance, comedy, and satire.


Cash wine bar around the Courtyard. Café G open for snacks, dinner, and drinks.
