18th Boston Turkish Film and Music Festival presents From Beethoven to Rock by pianist AyseDeniz Gokcin
Pianist AyseDeniz Gokcin comes to Boston for a performance of Beethoven, rock covers and original compositions.
AyseDeniz Gokcin is a celebrated pianist, composer and arranger known for her inventive synthesizing of classical and rock music.
A child prodigy in her native Turkey, AyseDeniz made her concerto debut aged just nine and went on to trained at Eastman School of Music in Rochester and London's Royal Academy of Music for her Masters Degree.
She has performed at prestigious venues worldwide and received widespread recognition after her Pink Floyd Classical Concept album went viral.
She will be performing some of Beethoven's most-loved sonatas, like Tempest and Pathetique. In keeping with her versatile repertoire, she will also perform a number of newly arranged rock covers, as well as some of her own compositions, including ‘Earth Prelude’ inspired by the issue of plastic pollution.
