From Africa with Love, a Valentine's Day Pop-up Shop Event

From Africa with Love, by Amooti.org is an all inclusive event designed just for you to experience the love for Africa and African craftsmanship. We want to bring this experience to life through a special Valentine's day pop up show where Amooti and other vendors will showcase priceless pieces crafted with the spirit of Africa.

The event will be held at Zone 3, Western Ave Boston on Feb 10, 2018 at 11:00 am. A part of the proceeds of this event will go towards empowering African artisans.

We will also have activities that will titillate the senses of the audience and give them a flavor of the African culture this Valentine's. Some of the activities are listed below:

Program:
11:00am: Pop-Up shop Opens up to public
12:00pm: Yoga for diversity
12:30pm: African inspired appetizers served
2:00pm: African Poetry and short love stories
3:00pm: Mini Runway, Gift Guides and stylist
5:00pm: Short Paint Class: Multi-cultural Painting experience themed love
6:00pm: Senga: African Bedroom Secrets Corner

*Mini African Runway: Models sporting African winter outfits will walk the carpet to inspire audience to try new and trendy clothing ideas this winter!
*African bedroom Secrets Corner will be a space dedicated to privy discussions. A safe, cozy and comfortable atmosphere will be created where couples and singles can freely express themselves and gear up for their special Valentine's, all with a touch of African culture
*Love Stories and Poetry: A special session dedicated to love poems and other literary works written by African artists.
*Gift guides: Each handcrafted product has a story to tell, and we have a special session dedicated to these stories along with some amazing anecdotes about African gift giving traditions.
*Stylists: Special artists to style up the ladies and make them look their best this Valentine's.
*Short Paint Class: Multi-cultural Painting experience themed love
*Yoga session to promote diversity and staying connected with one another

The guests will have snacks and drinks to relish while they immerse themselves into African culture and tradition. It will be a special Valentine's, the African way.
