Sean Trischka grew up with a banjo as his soundtrack while smashing the drums and writing catchy tunes that stick in your head. On his first record as a band leader, The Shuffle, Trischka stirs up a melting pot of brilliant musicians and creates a groovy, dancing sound with soulful vocals and lyrics, pulsing rhythm guitar, and soaring melodies and harmonies.
BEARD is a six-piece group from Berklee College of Music who play folksy singer-songwriter tunes inspired by jazz harmony, world rhythms, and lyrics by greats such as Joni Mitchell and Bob Dylan. The primary purpose of their music is to impact the audience on an emotional level and allow listeners to better understand themselves and the world around them. BEARD's sound is unique and genre-bending. The band members' musical backgrounds run the gamut from gospel, bluegrass, and R&B to singer-songwriter, Americana, and classical. They strive to create a sound that is new and sincere.
Jenine Irabagon is an emerging folk artist currently based in Boston. Originally from Fort Worth, Texas, she began her career as a jazz and classical instrumentalist before discovering her passion for songwriting. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Margot & the Nuclear So and So’s and Bob Dylan, Irabagon developed a captivating collection of folk songs unique to her name, discussing topics that leave a big impression on the first-time listener.
