FREE SCREENING: Short Waves Short Film Competition

Please join us for a free night of fun in celebration of
Asian Pacific American Heritage Month!

We will be screening all of the submissions from Short Waves, followed by a Q&A and reception with the filmmakers. Locally made, short films about the Asian American experience and community. Seating is limited—reserve your seat now and be the first to find out which finalist will make it into the festival this fall!

Asian Pacific Americans have long been making waves in all aspects of American life, but their stories have often been lost in general U.S. discourse. “Short Waves: Stories Shaping Our Community,” hopes to bring light to these stories through locally made, community driven short films about the Asian American experience and community. This year our theme is "Home in America."

Judges have selected the top four submissions for a public vote to determine a winner--who will receive automatic entry into Boston Asian American Film Festival 2015. The finalists will be honored at the screening, where the winner will also be announced.

We will be serving light refreshments during the reception.
