Willie Moore Jr. to Discuss Foster Care and Adoption at Philadelphia Event
PHILADEPHIA, PA — Philadelphia is home to nearly 6,000 kids in foster care. To raise awareness for the changing needs of these children in Philadelphia communities, Bethany Christian Services will host an event with renowned actor, comedian, producer, speaker, radio host, Christian R&B artist and minister Willie Moore Jr. on May 18 during National Foster Care Month.
Moore will tell his personal foster care story and speak on how our country needs to change the mindset around foster care as well as the importance of recruiting more African American families to become foster families. Spokespeople from Bethany will also discuss the temporary foster care and emergency care programs, helping keep families together, build community, and care for kids who have experienced trauma and loss in Philadelphia.

Bethany’s partnership with Willie Moore Jr. launched on Thursday December 20, 2018 at his 40th Birthday Party with a Purpose - the purpose was to celebrate the beauty of adoption and raise awareness amongst African American families and the church.
