How was social change forwarded in the wake of Martin Luther King Jr’s Assassination on April 4, 1968? How can we, in the current context, inform and sustain our activism? Nonviolence chooses love instead of hate, but is it possible to turn our anger at injustice toward making meaningful, positive change? What is our responsibility to help others better understand problems facing society and to build peace in peace?
Rev. David Brown and high school senior/activist L’Tahj Carter will explore these questions followed by Q & A and discussion.
Activism resources will be an integral part of this program.
Refreshments will be available.
