Micah, who was lost to the tragedy at the Ghostship in Oakland late last year, was an important and inspirational member of the independent music scene in Boston who also studied in the SIM program at MassArt. This night will feature experimental electronic, rock and dance music and performance art by a variety of Micah’s friends and supporters with all money being donated to the Micah Danemayer Scholarship fund at Massart. From the psychedelic sights and sounds of LSDV, Seraah and Sun Rad to the driving pulsy beats of Main Fader, DJ Dayglow and Midisexual and raw basement rock of Furanimal this night features sounds that evoke the free spirit and raw expression that Micah was known for.
To honor their son's memory, the Danemayer family has established a scholarship fund to benefit a MassArt student demonstrating financial need. Donations can be made online at the link below. Donations may also be made by check to the MassArt Foundation noting it is for the Micah Danemayer Scholarship on the memo line and sent to 621 Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02115.
