Flash, speed light, or pocket strobe: There are many names for the small external light commonly seen in photographer’s camera bags. From portraits to weddings, at home studios or in outdoor scenes, these small auxiliary lights are tremendously useful for photographers of all kinds.
While flash photography can seem intimidating, it doesn’t need to be difficult to learn—or use. Our in-person workshop will introduce you to the anatomy of the flash, the essential buttons and controls, and simple and practical ways to start using this fundamental tool right away.
Health and safety requirements:
-Masks and face coverings are optional for our fully vaccinated students while in our studio. Please note that masks are still required for all students and staff when in the public areas of our building (hallways, restrooms, and lobbies).
-At this time, we ask that unvaccinated students / students who have not yet been fully vaccinated practice health-conscious and community-minded measures by wearing a mask for the duration of the class.
-Students and instructors will maintain safe physical distancing at all times
-Hand sanitizer will be available, however, participants are encouraged to also bring their own.
