The theme of the Bank of America Grand Procession celebrates light! This year brings new participation from Boston’s iconic parades festivals, marching bands and artists. Ushering in a new day for First Night Boston the procession will ring in the new year in a bigger and brighter display than ever before. Sections will feature the light of the sun, light of the moon, lights of the city and light of the imagination. The Procession, will also include past favorites such as the Puppeteers’ Cooperative, Back Alley Puppet Theatre, inflatables, mobile sculptures, drummers, dancers, clowns and Duck Boats!
The procession will begin on Boylston at Dalton Street. turn left onto Charles Street, and finish at the Common. A spot along Boylston, closer to the Common and past Copley Square, is your best bet.
