Got five minutes? Come and lend an ear, or share an experience! Audience storytellers take to the stage with real life stories on the theme of the night. Winners get $100 prize and a spot in the season finale Grand Slam lineup at the 15th Anniversary First Person Arts Festival (November 2016). Hosted by Comedian Chip Chantry.


First Person Arts presents Philadelphia's premiere StorySlams, which take place on the second Monday of each month at World Cafe Live (3025 Walnut Street) and the fourth Tuesday of each month at L’Etage (6th & Bainbridge Streets).* Doors open at 7:30PM, and Slams begin at 8:30PM. StorySlams at World Cafe Live are all-ages events; Slams at L’Etage are 21+.


MEET YOUR HOST: Chip Chantry is a stand up comedian and television writer. He was the winner of 2013's Philly's Phunniest Contest at Helium Comedy Club, where he is a regular performer. He's travelled the country opening for acts such as Louis CK, Dave Chappelle and Bob Saget. Besides performing, Chip most recently worked as a segment producer on NBC Universal's "Crazy Talk" television series.
