Begin the New Year with a brisk hike through the Crane Wildlife Refuge! The starkly beautiful landscape of the dunes, the smell of the sea in the air – what a perfect way to welcome 2020! At hike's end we’ll let go of the old by burning our regrets around a small beach fire at sunset – and warm up with hot cider!
Please note: We will be hiking up and down dunes, through soft sand (which makes for a surprisingly more strenuous hike), for approximately 2½ -3 miles. Dress for the weather and bring along water to maximize comfort.
Weather cancellation policy: All trips will take place rain or shine with the following exceptions: If there is a high confidence that heavy steady rain and/or of thunder and lightning will be present, we will make the decision to cancel the program no later than 3pm the day before. If the program is cancelled all registrants will be notified by email and phone with as much notice as possible.
