As we begin our next half-century, it seems appropriate to look back as well as forward. As usual, Brother Thomas has an insight. He wrote:


Perhaps we are made to look back just for the experience of being amazed as much by what we have done as by what we still can do.


Certainly, beauty can energize our spirits and questions can ignite our imaginations and actions. All the more so are Brother Thomas’ words relevant:


We are not material beings on a spiritual journey, but spiritual beings on a material journey


May we continue to walk and to see and to do together well into a better future.
