Fèt Lakaï: Jazz Edition featuring Adriel Vincent-Brown: The Force

Lakaï Dance Theatre is a dance company of the people. Lakaï Dance Theatre roots itself in stories of home in order to highlight the issues affecting our communities and neighborhoods. Fèt Lakaï launched in New York City to a sold out crowd in 2022.

Fét Lakaï Jazz Edition is the newest iteration of this series. Building upon our key value of community partnerships, we are collaborating with Jazz Musician and scholar, Adriel Vincent-Brown: The Force to create an elevated evening of performances, DANCE, music, and community empowerment through art in Boston.

Lakaï Dance Theatre is based in Boston. The company will be performing several original works accompanied by Adriel Vincent Brown: The Force. The Force aims to bridge gaps not only between various musical genres and styles of jazz, but also among different communities, ethnicities and socioeconomic backgrounds. This is aligned with Lakaï’s goal to celebrate Boston’s rich cultural history and the contributions of the diaspora to the global performing arts landscape.

Boston-local, DJ TROY Frost will be our DJ for this immersive experience of movement and sound. We will also have a couple of Boston-Local artists performing, Miranda Rae blessing us with her voice and SeeFour with his rhymes.

We will have VENDORS, FOOD, GOOD MUSIC and GOOD VIBES so pull up!
