Thelonious Monkfish will host an interactive 'Feed the Zombies' event for charity on October 12th, 2014 from 3:00pm to 6:00pm, sponsored by performance group “Trapped in a Room With a Zombie” and The Cambridge Jazz Festival.
With a donation of $5.00, you can feed the creatures “zombie bits” and enter to win raffle prizes (appetizers, T-shirts, and a $50 gift card). Proceeds benefit The Johnny Hodges Fund, which supports Cambridge student musicians through college scholarships and music education.
Local college students will provide the soundtrack with live jazz music as well.
The event is set in the middle of a Zombie Apocalypse – some walkers have been bitten, but most have just succumbed to the same boring routine working day in and day out.
“So many people are living passionless lives; they’ve given up on aspirations of being musicians, artists, athletes. This event is to feed them music, feed them life!” says Jamme Chantler, owner of Thelonious Monkfish.
“If we can help support the younger generation in following their dreams, then we can hope for a future generation of creative and fulfilled adults,” Chantler said.
Donors can head inside to enjoy appetizers and a tasting of Dr. Thelonious’ Zombie Elixir, a brachetto sparking wine made in collaboration with the Boston Winery and “instantaneous cure for zombie bites.”
Feed the Zombies will take place on the Thelonious Monkfish patio. The rain date is October 13th.
