Sugar Ray Norcia
Singer, harp man and three time Grammy Nominee Sugar Ray Norcia’s career kicked into high gear in 1979 when he formed the original Sugar Ray and the Bluetones with guitar giant Ronnie Earl and it has stayed there ever since. Norcia has received a total of twenty two Blues Music Award Nominations including winning two Blues Music Awards in 2014 and has appeared on over sixty albums. In 2012 Ray was inducted into Rhode Island’s Music Hall of Fame. Sugar Ray was nominated for an unprecedented seven 2017 Blues Music Awards including Traditional Blues Male Artist and B.B. King Entertainer of the Year!
Erin Harpe
Erin Harpe has been called “one of the most dynamic, talented and exciting roots rocking blues women on the scene” by Living Blues Magazine. The singer, songwriter, guitarist, and band leader was recently named New England’s “Blues Artist of the Year”. Once described as “Bonnie Raitt on modern performance enhancing drugs” for her work with her award-winning electric blues band Erin Harpe & the Delta Swingers, more recently Erin has been gaining attention as a celebrated acoustic guitarist and purveyor of 1920’s and 30’s finger-style country blues. www.erinharpe.com

Blues Trails Revisited
When Grammy- and Emmy-award winning documentary filmmaker Ted Reed was moving his office, he uncovered his 27-minute 16mm black and white film “Thinking Out Loud”, shot in 1971. Filmed on a several week adventure with his friend Tim Treadway, the two traveled from Boston through Memphis and Clarksdale to find and record some of the last living blues legends. “Thinking Out Loud” was seen at a handful of festivals, and then stored away. Fast forward fifty years has led to the compilation of then and now in his new film, “The Blues Trail Revisited.”
Revealing interviews with authors, historians and hospitality entrepreneurs, musicians and art dealers, state officials, museum managers, and travelers from Arkansas to Australia detail significant changes from the 1970s to present day. Also on this return trip, Ted reconnected with his collaborator on the film, Tim Treadway, for the first time in all those years and together they reflected on all that had passed in a half-century.
