Envisioning: What Could 'Getting A Real Education' Really Mean?
Arts & Community Dialogue
MARCH 14 at 7PM
Three women and a man reflect on their high school experiences, reviewing incidents and the people who made those incidents memorable. Their conversations reveal how their education, what they experienced and, for some, what they envision going forward, frames the dialogue that will follow.
In the second of four Arts & Community Dialogues at the Multicultural Arts Center, presented in partnership with City of Cambridge and Cambridge Arts, the focus is on education. Other topics in the series have or will include: Colorism, Race and Immigration.
Each will use the arts as a catalyst for a facilitated dialogue and will include input from a panel of educators and activists. The dialogue, that will follow the play, will be led by Janis Pryor, an International Television & Film Award winner for Cultural Programming, Iris Award Winner for Talk Show programming and former Producer and Host of the syndicated radio show, Commonwealth Journal.
