On Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at 12pm EST, come join us for another fun, educational hour of grammar basics. Jackie Osterdahl, senior tutor at Prepped and Polished, is back to teach you the grammar basics you must know.
In order to effectively apply grammar rules to your writing or analyze a text, it is important to understand (and be able to name!) a language's structural aspects. This week's segment of "The Grammar Hour" will explore lesser-known components of the English language, including verb moods, subjective and objective pronouns, and figurative language. Alongside defining these terms, the lecture will explain how to apply your structural knowledge of a written text to inform your observations and analysis.
Although this lesson is aimed for students in grades 4-7, anyone and everyone, including high school students preparing for college-readiness exams, can benefit from learning these grammar basics.
