The Electric Bike Expo - Philadelphia is an indoor experience, where you can come and test ride more than 120 different pedal-assist, electric bicycles on a closed-loop test track inside the PA Convention Center.
Sitting adjacent to the more traditional bicycle consumer show, the Philly Bike Expo, the Electric Bike Expo is bringing the latest in advanced recreational cycling technology onto the same show floor. Sponsored by Bosch, one of the world’s leading electric drive systems manufacturers for bicycles, attendees can enter the Electric Bike Expo for FREE and experience electric pedal-power on the enclosed test track.
With nationally recognized brands ranging from Specialized, Trek, Giant, Schwinn, joined by some of the eBike industry’s exclusive lines from Easy Motion, Bulls, Smartmotion, Elby, wi-Bike and more, attendees will have the chance to talk to the manufacturers and test ride on a selection of products from all these companies.
Families interested in experiencing cargo bikes with ample room for kids and groceries will have the chance to test bikes from Urban Arrow and Riese Muller. Adventure enthusiasts can try some of the latest mountain bikes and fat tire bikes, with the latest electric drive systems from Shimano, Yamaha, and Brose. Even those thinking of commuting will have the chance to try the latest in Speed Pedelec bikes and commuting-style bikes from Trek and others.
The small theater section of the Electric Bike Expo will offer free educational sessions on both Saturday and Sunday covering the introduction to legal, pedal-assist, electric cycling as well as general bike safety from a program on daytime, lights-on riding for bicyclists of all types from Trek.
There are separate entrances for the two shows but ultimately those attending one will be able to visit the other. The Electric Bike Expo does not charge an entry fee. As a nonprofit, we collect consumer data about an attendee’s knowledge of electric bikes in exchange for the free entry. The show even provides a loaner helmet to ride on the track. Riders must be 16 or older to ride on their own and for anyone under 18 a parent/guardian must be present to sign the waiver.
The Electric Bike Expo will be in Hall E of the Pennsylvania Convention Center and is open Saturday from 10am to 5pm, and on Sunday from 10am until 4pm.
