Explore the fabulous public art -- both city-sanctioned and graffiti -- during this walking tour through downtown Boston. The city is home to several museums, but some of the best art in town can be found right on the street, from magnificent murals to sculpture, guerrilla painting and Boston's PaintBox program, which commissions artists to turn utility boxes into sidewalk installations. This walking tour will take you through parts of the Downtown Crossing and Chinatown neighborhoods and over toward the South End and Theater District where you will see a terrific array of public art.
The Downtown Boston Art Walking Tour includes murals, PaintBox projects and more. The tour is approximately 2.5 hours and includes less than a mile of walking.
