This double feature screening is part of Lightbox Film Center’s special series, Solid Gould: Elliott Gould in the 1970s, a collection of eight classic films saluting the inimitable Elliott Gould throughout April. In Robert Altman’s freewheeling buddy picture California Split, Gould stars opposite George Segal as gamblers who don’t know when to stop. In Alan Arkin’s directorial debut Little Murders, Gould’s character Alfred descends into a dark and scathing satire of city life that has since become a cult classic.
