Diana Chittester, Royal Wood

Cleveland-based singer-songwriter, Diana Chittester is launching her debut international tour, February 2017. This tour will highlight her latest album Find My Way Home while featuring songs off her new, self-recorded album, set to release Spring 2017. Taking the stage with only her arsenal of acoustic guitars, Chittester brings her raw, energetic show to World Cafe Live, Friday, February 24 at 7:00pm with Canadian, iTunes Songwriter of the Year, Royal Wood sharing the bill. Blending the storytelling roots of folk music with the animation of rock, Diana Chittester's live performance is brought to life by her signature percussive, multi-part acoustic guitar playing. Diana's uniquely developed style is accentuated by her alternating between picking and strumming, all while pounding out bass lines and drum beats. She produces this dynamic music without the help of loopers or other technological tricks. All the while she is sharing the personal stories of family struggle, isolation, and adventure that are behind each song. Diana engages audiences to connect on an individual level.

Moving to Cleveland, OH after college, Diana got her start when the host of the local open mic she attended asked her to open for Michael Jackson's lead guitarist, Jennifer Batten. Since, Diana has gone on to open for national touring acts, including Cincinnati's own, Kelly Richey, and perform at prime folk venues & festivals across the region. ArtVoice Magazine dubbed Diana a “complex guitar acrobat”, the Devil Strip raved, “If you don't believe an acoustic solo performance can fill a room with raw power, and intelligence concurrently, you haven't experienced Diana Chittester,” and as a solo artist she was voted #1 “Best Band” on Cleveland HotList, in 2016
