Dear Members and Friends of FGBTB,
On Friday night, March 10h, from 6:30-9:00 pm, Ven. Youwang Director from Fo Guang Shan Temple, New York, will be presenting on the topic Dharma In Cooking. Dharma refers to the teachings of the Buddha that we can practice in our daily life. Cooking is a mindfulness practice that gives us many valuable instructions for not only cooking but also our life.
The evening will begin with meditation from 6:30-7:00 followed by dinner from 7:00-7:45 and the presentation from 7:50-9:00. The fee for this event is $12 for adults and $8 for students/seniors. Please register by an email reply ([email protected]) no later than Thursday, March 9th by 6pm so that we will have a tentative number of who will be attending dinner and the Dharma talk. We look forward to seeing you soon and hope that you will invite anyone you think might be interested in furthering his/her knowledge and practice of Humanistic Buddhism.
