Design Biennial Boston 2017 – Walking Tour

Join us Thursday, August 10, at 6:00pm for the opening of the 2017 Design Biennial Boston on the Rose Kennedy Greenway.

Visit the four installations on a walking tour accompanied by:

Starting Point — 6:00pm
Meet at the installation by Jennifer Bonner/MALL near the Boston Zipline. The site is adjacent to the intersection of North Street and the Greenway across from the Dock Square Parking Garage and the Hard Rock Cafe. We will walk from installation to installation with a short presentation by each design team. The tour will end by 7:15 not far from the Greenway’s beer garden for post-walk drinks and conversation.

About Design Biennial Boston—
Design Biennial Boston is a nationally recognized program that provides a public platform for New England’s early-career, independent professional design talent. 2017 is the fifth iteration. Conceived and curated by over,under, the event is sponsored by the Rose Kennedy Greenway Conservancy, Autodesk BUILD Space, the Mayor’s Office of New Urban Mechanics, the Boston Art Commission, the Boston Society of Architects/AIA (BSA), the BSA Foundation, and pinkcomma gallery.

Following an open call for entries which included submissions from each of New England’s states, the jury selected four firms whose work provides ample evidence of the region’s vibrant pool of designers. Teams were provided access to advanced fabrication equipment at Autodesk BUILD Space.
