Dance for World Community Festival Week kicks off with the Dance on Film Series, June 5-7, 2017 at The Brattle Theatre, Cambridge.


Set in the overwhelmingly white world of classical dance, Black Ballerina tells the stories of several black women from different generations who fell in love with ballet. A story of passion, opportunity and heartbreak that engage viewers in larger issues of exclusion, equal opportunity and change.


Dance for World Community Festival Week concludes on Saturday, June 10 with Festival Day - a FREE daylong, indoor/outdoor celebration of dance featuring more than 80 Boston area dance groups!
