Curtain Call Theatre in Braintree presents Celtic music trio Curragh’s Fancy in concert on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 8:00 PM. This Boston-based trio has performed at concerts, festivals, pubs and coffeehouses from Maine to Florida.
Curragh’s Fancy’s music is heavily influenced by many of the best-known Irish bands, including the Clancy Brothers, The Irish Rovers, the Dubliners, the Wolfe Tones, and Planxty, to name a few. Folk influences include the Kingston Trio, Bob Dylan, John Prine, Stan Rogers, and The Old Crow Medicine Show.
Trio members Dave Leahy, Michael Kelley, and Bob Fowkes play several instruments: guitar, banjo, bass, mandolin, bouzouki, and tin whistle, and all three share in the singing. They perform a lively mix of old pub favorites and newer material.
