Come hear true stories of murder, sex and scandal told by someone who knows the ins and outs of the American Legal System - Judge R. Marc Kantrowitz. He'll discuss the unfair framing for murder of America's most famous comedian; America's first capital case involving an older woman and her much younger lover murdering her husband; and Mad Harry Thaw, the wealthy son of a steel magnate, killing America's foremost architect over a woman. He'll also discuss the real Norman Bates of Alfred Hitchcock's "Psycho."
A resident of Canton, Judge Kantrowitz has served as an assistant district attorney, private counsel and a judge, first on the juvenile court and then the Appeals Court, the second highest court in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. As an attorney, he handled thousands of cases, trying more than 100 before a jury. He was also lead attorney on two dozen first degree murder cases. He is the a highly published author of multiple law books and publishes a monthly column "Law 'n History" for Lawyers Weekly. This program will feature stories from his recently published book, Old Whiskey and Young Women - American True Crime tales of Murder, Sex and Scandal.
