t's a challenging time for many in the creative economy, and it can be hard for freelancers and creative business owners to know what steps to take in order to move forward. In this webinar, we'll outline key financials to consider and explore some strategic exercises that can help you envision the way ahead.
About the Instructor
Sara Hartmann is a design and entrepreneurship educator who draws on her diverse background in start-ups and the arts to create curricula for the next generation of creative economy entrepreneurs. She currently teaches at Massachusetts College of Art and Design and has taught business and design at UMass Dartmouth, Simmons University, Lasell College and Mt.Ida College. Sara previously co-owned Secret Ships, a mobile retail business specializing in fashion-forward fair trade goods. She is a board member at Indie Biz Academy, a non-profit that provides training and resources to arts-based small businesses.
Creative Economy Series 2019-20
This workshop is being offered as part of the Creative Economy Workshop Series at MassArt. This series of one-day, non-credit lectures and workshops is focused on professional development for practicing and aspiring creative entrepreneurs, artists, designers, and freelancers.
