Holden Caulfield, Katniss Everdeen, Oscar Wao—fictional characters as unforgettable as our own family members. Join novelists E. B. Moore, Jennie Wood and Kate Racculia—and their characters—for a reading and discussion of how the authors created their own unforgettable characters, trait by trait, from first draft to final.
Want to get in on the action? Bring a character-revealing page (maximum 250 words) from your short story or novel. One lucky audience member will have their entry read aloud and discussed by our authors. The winner receives a free GrubStreet pint glass and a drink, purchased by our own Michelle Hoover—as well as possible love, wealth and fame.
