We will be making tortillas and baleadas (Honduran dish made with tortillas, red re-fried beans, and much more!)
Haydi will walk us through the process, step by step, answering questions and offering advice along the way. You can cook alongside her during the call in your own kitchen, or watch her make the recipe in preparation to make the recipe in your kitchen another time.

Hacemos Totillas y Baleadas! (Plato hondureño con tortillas, frijoles rojos refritos y más!)
Haydi va a enseñarnos, paso a paso. Va a responder a preguntas y ofrecer consejos mientras cocinar. Se puede cocinar a lado a Haydi en su propia cocina durante la llamada, o mirar para prepararse para hacer la receta por su mismo en otro momento.
Immigrants are facing massive layoffs or unsafe work conditions as 'essential' workers with the pandemic. They have been left out of any relief from the government and without a safety net - struggling to meet basic needs and to keep their families safe. A team of immigrant leaders and aliados of Cosecha MA organized a mutual aid fund - we have now raised and distributed over $80,000 - we've provided direct financial assistance to over 300 immigrant families and provided information and access to food and other resources to over 700 families. Meanwhile, the number of families needing assistance multiplies each week (we have over 800 additional families on our list who have identified needs) and families who received support last month now need assistance this month. And we have almost depleted the funds raised. For that reason, this fund continues.

Los inmigrantes enfrentan despidos masivos o condiciones de trabajo inseguras como trabajadores "esenciales" con la pandemia.
